This work expresses the journeys over the last two years have taken Norah to other countries, areas and meeting many interesting individuals never met before. Learning to cope, to live in the present rather than the past or future.
This work has helped to find a new acceptance of self expression and comfort within.

Following on from the previous lecture by Mary Schoeser on Laura Ashley's quilt collection, Norah will explain how to create a design by looking for unexpected juxtapositions, using furnishing fabrics to stitch a panel. Exploring a variety of hand stitches, including quilting, layering and applique, the panel can be used to make up at home as a sumptuous cushion. EXHIBITIONS 2019 this year has brought many changes into my career and life. In September 2019 I moved my studio. I was offered a private art studio room with three other professional artist and have set up there to concentrate on my exhibition work. I will still teach at other venues and offers of talks, workshops and commissions are always welcome. do contact me direct on norahjanet@hotmail.com for further information.
I am in the process of producing exhibition work for 2020 for a solo exhibition and others. Venues and dates for next year will be put onto my website in due course.

I completed my Fine Arts Printmakers Certificate and have written a years hand printing programme. The methods I use are for both paper and fabrics. Recent work on ancient Japan using Fine Art Printmaking methods - I have many prints which I have exhibited 2016 at Cambridge.
My solo exhibition for the month of May 2017 at Red Lion Bookshop gallery, Colchester on Ancient Japan with my prints, textiles, weaving, ceramics on display.
A huge thankyou to all who visited my exhibition especially at such an incredibly sad time for myself and my family. Many of you met my husband Ray who sadly passed away 15 May 2017 . He will be missed beyond words could express.
