My final metre piece was a 5 ft tall textile sculpture figure based on designs and colours of the beautiful "Jaipur".
I was a national finalist for the "Inspired by the V&A" in 1999 and exhibited a creative textile mirror based on the the beautiful turquoise Ottaman fireplace tiles at the V&A Museum, London. My textile items exhibited at the EHA won the "World in Your Hands" cup.
I exhibited and sold my first wall hanging based on a William de Morgans tile panel at Sail Ipswich, Suffolk in 1997. I started Fantasia Textiles in 1999 and sold my work at Braintree Museum.
On completion of my City and Guilds I was a founder member of the O2 (OTT) Textile Group in 2003 but left due to personal circumstances.

For the past 26 years I have been involved with creative textiles. My passion now is for creating in both design and development techniques which is an exciting challenge. Art and photography have always been my priority and still is to develop my work further. Fine art printmaking using the printing press allows freedom to my new work.
Designing my own fabric is paramount to me and exploring different techniques to achieve this is very exciting. Exploring dyeing methods and printing techniques. Layering with colour of dyes and paints, texture and imagery by silk screen printing, collography or transfer methods. Digitising imagery and transferring my designs to fabric is a constant pleasure.
I am very interested in fine art printmaking especially in using it within the art and textile world. Art and photography have always been my medium and these specialist methods I have been using are invaluable to my recent work.
I run my own workshops and courses at my Coggeshall studio.
